Keen Soccer USA is a youth club soccer organization that competes in the Pacific Regional Soccer League in Los Angeles.  With its competitive soccer roots originating in the heart of Canada, the club has newly expanded into California with a focus on competitive play and soccer development for youth club players.  The club welcomes players that possess an advanced level of skill, the desire to learn and the energy to elevate their game to the highest level possible. 

Keen Soccer USA is driven by the experience, knowledge and skill of its Founder and Executive Director, David Keen, who played competitive club soccer at a top level in Canada.

With the transition from competition player to club director, Coach David provides a comprehensive tactical and skills soccer education that is derived from his vast experience in the game.  Coach David holds coaching licenses and certifications from U.S. Soccer (USSF), Cal South, and American Youth Soccer.   During his competition years, he studied the skills of the greatest players of all time including Pele, Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Zinedine Zidane, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

As a player, David was very serious about two things:   his sports and his academic education.   

He earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and a Doctoral degree, which provided him with a well-rounded understanding of anatomy and biology, and served as a distinct advantage for strength training in sports.  

As a coach, David emphasizes the importance of education to all his players.

Motivated and inspired by a path to professional soccer, Coach David seeks to continue the legacy of playing great soccer and encouraging good sportsmanship for talented youth players in Los Angeles.

With his professional friendships that extend to soccer clubs throughout California   —   including the Los Angeles elite boys team  LA City United  all the way up to the professional MLS Team  The San Jose Earthquakes   —   Coach David offers an engaging soccer training program and uplifting experience for the  Keen Soccer USA  U-10 team,  "The Bombers."    Each and every player on the team was specifically selected, not only because of their passion, athletic ability and potential to excel in soccer,  but because each of these young men exudes special qualities that are very rare in the world today:    integrity,  confidence,  focus  and  respect.

Keen Soccer USA has become a large soccer family   —   not only for the players, but also for the parents.   This essence of unity extends far beyond our strong coaching commitment to the players on the field.   It includes the parents, who are amazingly dedicated and have become a cohesive unit of friends.   The parents are focused to ensure their children have the best soccer experience in our club, and this is both recognized and appreciated.  

Initially coaching for the AYSO in Los Angeles, Coach David formerly served as Head Coach in the U9 and U10 Divisions.  He also provided private coaching for higher level players.  Under his leadership as Head Coach, the team went on to win the Championship Finals in 2025.  With decades of experience in the game, Coach David has the energy and expertise to bring out the best in his players.
